Mr. Yadav is a second-term member of the Lok Sabha representing the Samajwadi Party from Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh (UP). He is a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Urban Development and Committee on Estimates. During his stint in the thirteenth Lok Sabha, he served on the Parliamentary Committee on Food, Civil Supplies and Public Distribution and Committee on Ethics.

An agriculturist and engineer by profession, Mr. Yadav graduated in engineering from the University of Mysore, Karnataka. As a Political and Social worker as well, he is actively engaged in various activities for the all-round development of the rural poor, particularly farmers and workers.

Mr. Yadav is a keen reader, and enjoys watching films and listening to music. His sporting interests include football and cricket.
