Mr. B S Gnandesikan is a member of the Rajya Sabha from Srivilluputtur, Distt. Virudhunagar in Tamil Nadu. He is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC).

Mr. Gnandesikan served on various Parliamentary Committees. He was a Member, Committee on Defence, Member and Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Finance.
A political and social worker by profession, Mr. Gnandesikan has been associated with several social and cultural initiatives. He is involved in social work and has conducted many legal aid camps in Tamil Nadu as Chairman, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee Legal Cell and T.M.C. Legal Cell, since 1996.

Mr. Gnanadesikan did his B.A., B.L. from Loyola College, Dr. Ambedkar Law College, Chennai. By profession he is a Lawyer.

Mr. Gnandesikan has keen interest in reading, visiting hill stations and participated in cultural programmes.
