Smt. Priya Dutt is a member of the Lok Sabha from Mumbai in
Maharashtra representing the Indian National Congress (INC).
Smt. Dutt did her B.A. (Sociology) from Sophia College, Bombay
University, Mumbai in Maharashtra and her post graduation
in TV production from the Centre for Media Arts, New York
City in U.S.A.
In November 2005, she was elected to 14th Lok Sabha. By profession,
she is a social worker. She is Trustee of the Spastic Society
of India. She is actively associated with public health organisations
to generate awareness on AIDS and drug abuse, and promote
education. She has also produced a documentary film a biography
on Smt. Nargis Dutt (her late mother), and prepared a research
script on child prostitution.
A widely traveled person, Smt. Dutt's special interests include
travelling, reading and research. She also enjoys sports like
scuba diving and other water sports.
