Shri Nikhil Kumar is a member of the Lok Sabha from Aurangabad in Bihar, representing the Indian National Congress (INC).

Shri Kumar serves on various Parliamentary Committees. He is Member, Joint Committee on Salaries and Allowances of Members of Parliament; Member, Committee on External Affairs; Member, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Home Affairs, and; Member, Joint Parliamentary Committee on Security in Parliament House Complex.

A political and social worker by profession, Shri Kumar is the President of Anugrah Sewa Sadan, Patna; President, Gandhi Ashram Trust, Hajipur; Chairman of ANS Institute of Social Studies, Patna; and SPCA, Bihar.

Shri Kumar did his M.A. (Modern History) from Allahabad University, Uttar Pradesh.

Shri Kumar is a widely traveled person and has keen interest in reading, listening to music, watching test cricket and writing.
